The Belize Hotel Association represented Belize and its members at the 31st International Tourism and Travel Show 2019 in Montreal, Canada, on October 25, 26, and 27. The BHA Representatives at the show were Past-President Leisa Carr-Caceres and Membership & Marketing Director Ilechia Flowers.

The ITTS show commenced on Friday, October 25, at 11:00 AM, with visitors excitedly entering the show floor until 9:00 PM, followed by Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27, from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The ITTS show boasts a total of 36,225 travel lovers, 1,000 activities, 400 exhibitors, and 10,000 ways to travel.                     

Thousands of visitors flocked to the Place Bonaventure in Montreal, intending to plan their vacation or get further information on destinations for future travel. Travel destinations exhibited included Belize, the Caribbean, Cuba, Mexico, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, and many more. Throughout the day free conferences were available to visitors that offered advice on vacation planning. The showcasing of cultural dances, music, and traditional foods was also presented by different destinations present.

Visitors to the Belize Hotel Association booth were drawn by the array of activities portrayed on our huge banner, as well as BHA Map, that caught their attention. They were amazed by the diversity of attractions Belize has to offer and the countless activities and hotels that suited every budget and every need. Many visitors to ITTS knew of Belize already and were excited to learn more about our country. Several travel agents also stopped by, asking for more information.
