Digi, formally known as Belize Telemedia Limited, was established on December 13, 1987 by the Belize Telecommunications Authority (BTA) and Cable & Wireless, plc. (C&W). C&W and BTA evolved and grew through decades of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Today, Digi stands as Belize’s National Telecom and industry leader operating an extensive fiber-optic telecommunications network, which powers expansive product offerings. With a focus on the future, Digi remains committed to developing the country and delivering the promise of technology to thousands of Belizeans every day.
